WhatsApp It’s reportedly working on a new feature that will make it easier for you to message unsaved contacts. Currently, when you tap a phone number in the chat bubble, WhatsApp takes you directly to your default dialer app. With an upcoming update, the platform may show you more options after tapping a phone number.WhatsApp has started rolling out a new beta update, according to a report by WABetaInfo android user. The update bumps the app’s version to 2.22.8.11. With the update, Facebook Own platform allows you to use some shortcuts when selecting a phone number in the chat bubble.

According to screenshots shared in the report, WhatsApp showed Android users new options after the beta update, such as adding to contacts and dialing. The report further revealed that if the phone number you clicked on is available on WhatsApp, the platform will also give you the option to start a chat with the contact. The other two options are always displayed when the phone number is not available on WhatsApp.

As mentioned, the feature is only available to Android users who are enrolled in the WhatsApp beta program. While the company hasn’t revealed any official details about the new features, expect we might see them in future updates.

Last week, WhatsApp also announced a series of new features for voice messages. The Facebook-owned platform claims the new features will make it easier for users to communicate with their friends and family. Some of them are already available to beta testers on the Android and iOS platforms. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the six new features in a social media post.
